The Automotive Academy Graduate Development Programme provides young engineering and manufacturing star graduates with the training to ‘hit the ground running’ in business.
High calibre recent graduates undertake a one-year intensive programme to equip them with the academic and vocational skills to immediately benefit their new employer and the Midlands automotive industry as a whole.
The programme comprises five phases, undertaken over a one-year period:
- Induction – a general introduction to the programme, team development and manufacturing production placements
- Foundation – covers the underpinning knowledge, tools and techniques training to support automotive placements, the integrated team-based project and final vocational qualification
- Placements - consists of a range of automotive placements covering major elements along the supply chain including vehicle and 1st tier manufacturers and component suppliers
- Project – involves an integrated, team-driven project based on an automotive theme
- Assessment - assessment and accreditation is made against a robust and recognised framework
